Read about Day 1 & 2 in Goa here
We left from Goa at around 6.30 am for (175 Kilometres) Gokarna Mahabaleshwar which is famous for its Shiva temple. We basically took the coastal road crossing Margao, Karwar, Ankola then Gokarna.
On the way we also visited the Karwar Ship Museum and spent some time there adoring the war ship kept for display.
We reached Gokarna around lunch time and temple was closed so we had to wait for some time for it to open. After the darshan we went around the market and got a few things like spices and few oils. My dad joined us there and we left for Murdeshwar.
This was the third time I visited this place and it does not fail to amaze me. Who ever thought of the concept and the location must be a sheer genius. The entire aura of the location is just so good I feel overwhelmed all over again. This place personifies the fact that God is above all and is watching over us and showering His blessings on us.
The cherry on top of the cake was that an elevator service that has started in Murdeshwar at the entrance of the temple. The entrance tower is of 18 floors and the elevators take devotees to the top of the tower for a minimal fee of 10 rupees per person. The view from the tower is mesmerizing and magical. Murdeshwar in itself is extremely beautiful and the view from the top enhances its beauty. We were at the top of the tower exactly at twilight and I will not forget the view for a long time.
We had planned to stay at Murdeshwar but we were done by 7 and Dad decided that we should proceed to Coorg which was close to 300 kilometres from there. Our driver dada readily agreed and we were off to Coorg.
