Since we were completely comfortable and opened up with each other by the third day, the fun actually began this day onwards. We decided to visit beaches in north Goa and were discussing on the options of reaching there since the north Goa beaches were almost 60 kilometres from Colva. Prachi was very keen on hiring a bike and riding all the way thru, frankly I was a little sceptical about it at first and kept going back to options of public transport. But the nagger that Prachi is 😀 she convinced me to go on bike.
So as usual we started the day with photo shoot at the hotel lawns, I too nagged Prachi to wear something that she was not doubtful about but finally I was successful in brain washing(there is nobody here to see what we wear I said) her :-P. So after the photo shoot of one long hour we left the hotel hired a bike and off we went. The owner of the bike gave us directions more accurate than Google maps (no exaggeration!) and we reached Calangute in 1 ½ hour. Prachi drove all the way and we were enjoying the ride a bit too much :-P. Prachi kept forgetting the road and was actually about to take a road back from where we came. We laughed about it multiple times later. The roads in Goa are in excellent condition unlike Mumbai and the sites on either side of the road are extremely pleasant.
Calangute beach is one of the busiest beaches in Goa, when we reached there we thanked god that we decided to stay in south Goa. Not that the beach is not clean but it was too crowded for our taste and we concluded that travelling anywhere on bike (now that we were enjoying it) was much better than staying in crowded places. We had lunch in one of the hotels there and went shopping. I got a very cute half jump suit for throw away price of 200 and one hat for 130 bucks! We got some goodies for our respective friends and were on our way back before we knew it.
We freshened up at our hotel and went back to the shack and relaxed there and came back to the hotel for dinner. This was the end of day 3!
